After-School Program

Program Details

Dates: November 20 - December 18
Schedule: Thursdays, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Ages: All elementary students (lower and upper grades)
Duration: 6 weeks

If we experience bad weather, sessions will be rescheduled so every student enjoys the full 6-week program.

What Students Will Experience

Our after-school soccer program introduces children to the foundational skills of soccer such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and coordination, while also weaving in key elements that promote social, emotional, and language growth.

Students will practice:

  • Following Multi-Step Directions - Listening carefully and remembering sequences (“Dribble to the cone, turn, and pass back”).

  • Expressive Language - Using descriptive words to talk about what they see and do: “kick fast,” “pass left,” “move forward”.

  • Social Communication - Taking turns, sharing encouragement, asking for help, and learning how to communicate respectfully with teammates.

  • Problem-Solving and Strategy - Talking through plays, planning together, and explaining ideas clearly.

  • Vocabulary Growth - Learning soccer-specific words such as goal, teammate, defend, balance and using them meaningfully in context.

  • Self-Advocacy & Emotional Expression - Expressing feelings and needs appropriately “I need a break,” “I’m ready,” “Can I try again?”.

These activities are naturally embedded in the game and are especially beneficial for children developing speech, listening, or social communication skills. The goal is to help every player strengthen not just their athletic ability, but also their confidence as a communicator and teammate.

About the Coach

Hi, I’m Coach Jasmin, founder of Soccer Savvy Solutions. I’m a certified Special Education teacher with a Master’s degree in Special Education and over 10 years of classroom experience.

I’ve worked with learners of all abilities and coached athletes from toddlers through college, helping each student build skills that extend far beyond the field. I earned a full athletic scholarship to Fairfield University, competing at the Division I level, and later joined the National Women’s Soccer League reserve team for the Boston Breakers, embracing the challenge of professional soccer and carrying my drive, skill, and determination to the highest level. With my background in education, I can adapt activities, motivate students, and connect with children who learn in unique ways, making every session both structured and nurturing.

Cost & Registration

  • Program Fee: $175 for the full 6-week program

  • Registration Fee: $25 (includes a Soccer Savvy jersey)

  • Total: $200

Parents can register online to secure a spot for their child. Space is limited to ensure quality instruction and personalized attention.
